A mid 1800s Mahogany game somewhere between Bagatelle and Shove Half Penny. The box folds away when not in use, but when playing both the lid and base form the games board. It has two brass slides which slope the lid so that the pieces slide down the slope and through the arches and hopefully into numbered circular sections. There is a scoring board, pegs, counters, arch and numbered sections all housed in the Mahogany box. This box measures 32cm x 30cm when closed. A beautifully made piece. C1840/50
