An unusual 19th century double sided opening walnut candle box and spill box. This box was made to stand upright on a table or shelf. Both sides have a slightly bow shaped lid which slides up so that candles can be stored in the deeper compartment and either spills, mathches or smaller in the shallower side.
It measures 21cm h x 8.5cm d x 8.75cm w.
There is a small piece missing from the inside top edge on one side, this has been done a long time ago and adds to its charm!
