A very unusual carved pipe tamper or stopper. It is carved from one piece of wood with a whale at the top and underneath the initials JH, date 1851 and two diamonds as decoration.
The pipe tamper measures 7.3cm h x 3.8cm w at the top where the whale has been carved x 0.5cm d.
