An unusual antique jigsaw the box has on the lid " A Dissected Puzzle",  The comparative size of thirty nine animals from the elephant to the mouse. There are a approx 50  wooden pieces, hand coloured, approx three are replacements. Nice early puzzle with the edges having the interlocking pieces and the other pieces being wavey in outline. Lovely subject matter, an educational tool, to help children learn the sizes and appearance of the animals. C1840/50.
