An 18th century antique treen lever nutcracker. The nutcracker is made from ash wood. When you open the levers there are two small indentation where the nut would have been placed to crack it.
Towards the end on one of the handles there is a small hole presumably where a piece of string was threaded through to tie the nutcracker to a belt etc. Nice piec of 1700's English treen.
It measures 15.5cm l x 5.5cm d x 1.5cm h
