This 19th century snuff box has been in the shape of a whale, but note the tail is carved as a birds head. Decorated in penwork decoration on both sides , there is a hinged lid to acess the interior.
The snuff box has a flat bottom so that it can stand well on a table.
It measures 12cm w x 8.5cm h at the end where the bird is.
