This lovely Victorian Tunbridge Ware sewing basket or bowl has a floral mosaic pattern inlay on the sides of this octagonal basket. In addition, it has a rosewood base and a rosewood swing handle.

In some of the literature it refers to Geo. Wise Jun making these pansy baskets.

The George Wise Tunbridge Ware “manufactury” was founded in the 18th century and lasted until the mid-1880s.
