A very nice 19th century Tunbridge Ware nutmeg grater, lid unscrews to reveal grater and base unscrews to store nutmegs. These items were real status symbols as nutmeg was expensive but was a popular spice to sprinkle onto mulled wine or hot buttered muffins.
