A Georgian meat dish slope with grooved front, with nice detailing, chip - carved decoration around the top of the handle. On the reverse note the concave indent to the handle. These slopes were used to tip the heavy meat dishes up to get all the meat juices. Hence the bit of nibbling around the tip of the slope.
The dish slope measures 16.5 cm l x 5.5 cm w x 2.5cm d at the thickest part of the slope.
