A 19th century Eden Vale Knitting sheath. It has a broad face which tapers to the foot in a graceful curve emphasized by a broad chamfer along the back edge. The top edge has a scallop to fit into the cow belt. There is a border of incised triangles to the upper section. There is also carved foliage on the shaft.
It measdures 26cm l x 6cm w at the widest point x 1.8cm d.
