An antique English botanical microscope. These were popular in the 19th century and were taken day trips and examining flowers, insects etc.The small 19thC botanist’s lacquered brass microscope comes in a box. The microscope completely folds away. When in use, it screws onto the lid of the box. It hasseveral lenses, a brass live box (for insects, flowers, seeds etc!), bone disc, a small magnifying glass and tweezers.
The box measures 14cm w x 11cm d x 5cm h.
