This English George III mahogany cased travelling/ explorers compass is in good working and fully works.
Probably made in London c 1800/20, the paper dial is original, slightly discoloured, the blue steeled hand, the brass is all in good condition, the securing mechanism works well, the hinges and clasp are original and good. A very nice antique compass.

Diameter of dial 65mm, case is 75 x 75 x 22mm
