This is a lovely example of a piece of early lighting. 
The rush light has a lovely turned base, note the turns on the underside of the base turned from a pole lathe which was obviously a bit slack as the concentric circles spiral out a bit. The finish to the base is great and there are some remnants of paint if you look closely.
The twisted metal work is lovely and there is an X on the jaw.
