This is a very good  19th century rosewood desk tidy/ writing comanion with a well turned carrying handle.
The divided lid opens in two to reveal a fitted interior with a pen tray, a section for two ink bottles, a lidded compartment for wafer seals, nibs etc. It also has the extra feature of a drawer belowfor storage of stationery etc.
A perfect companion for an avid writer.
