This is a very unusual mid 1800s  rosewood  castle turret shaped sewing companion.
It consists of a central removeable turret pin cushion which unscrews to reveal a pin cushion There are four removable reel holders, these are stored on rosewood pins each of which has a turned finial, one has been repaired.
There is also an upturned rosewood acorn shaped holder for a thimble. The thimble appears to be the original although it has been repaired, I do have another thimble which is perfect which could be fitted instead.
In addition there is a small turret shaped pin cushion with a removeable lid which is fixed in position.
This wonderfully made sewing companion sits on a circular base which has three turned feet.
