A late 1700's/early 1800s Prisoner of War games box in the shape of a shoe. The bone sliding lid, which is a cribbage board, slides back to reveal a complete set of bone double nine dominoes.
There is a small old repair to the rim on one side of the shoe. This great box, seldom seen, measures approx 21cm l x 4.2cm w x 5cm h.
