This is such an unusual piece, it is an antique 19th century fan with each of the seven handles terminating in a photo frame. The frames are bordered with fret work , except the last one, no evidence there was ever any fretwork on this one, all the frames are also bordered by a mosaic border.
It would make a spectacular piece with photos inserted in, the backs of each frame have three slider attachments to hold the photos in place.
A real novelty item.
It measures 30.5cm l x 11cm w at the widest point of the frame.
