This is a beautifully carved , early 1800s coquilla snuff box. Carved in the shape of a boat with a flat bottom base, decorated with flowers. The sides are carved with fruits,  flowers, etc. To one end of the box is a carved figure head and to the other is a bug bear face.  The lid is exceptionally carved with a lady in a long dress and a peacock sitting on her lap. The peacock represents eternal life.
