This is an interesting 19th century press/mould for culinary use.
It's quite a thick piece of wood in the centre, decorated with roundels, diamonds etc. At either end are two handles to press down to make an imprint into rice cakes, pastry etc.
There is a hanging hole at the top.
This mould/press measures 41cm l including the handles.
