A late 1800s mahogany boxed artists paint box. Inside the box on the underside of the lid is Reeves & Sons 113 Cheapside London. The company resided at this address between 1845 and 1890.
The box is full of paint blocks housed in ceramic blocks, tubes of paint, glass water dish, ceramic mixing palette stamped Reeves and sons, palette knife and old brush ends.
Underneath the main compartment, by taking out the locking pin is a drawer full of watercolour tint sheets from a previous owner along with a lovely ceramic palette stamped Reeves and sons.
