This C 19th mahogany paint box is full of ceramic paint cake holders, with the remains of the cakes, old tubes of oil paints, chalks, charcoal and an oilstone. In the drawer below, accessed by removing the brass locking pin, there are paint brushes and a holder, ceramic mixing dishes and a palette. C1840
