This is a beautifully made 19th century mahogany box. On the lid there is an inlaid bone panel saying Spelling Alphabet and to the underside of the sliding lid, you’ll see two channels to slide the bone letters into, which is an unusual feature. 
There are approx 106 letters. 
The box measures 17.5cm w x 6.4cm d.
