An 18th century Welsh chip carved snuff box with sliding lid. Chip carved decoration to both top and bottom and to the spine. Note the really well patinated protruding handle to slide the lid of the box open. A really great piece of treen. C1780. It measures 11.5cm h including handle  x 2.7cm d x 5.5cm w.
