A Victorian Chartist Riot Truncheon, painted on a black ground with the city of London arms. Very niced turned handle, stamped Parker 233 Holborn. It measures approx 47.5cm long.

This policeman's truncheon was issued to special constables during the 1848 Chartist riots and also the 1868 Fenian uprisings.
