This is a lovely late 19th century Scottish circular spice box .The lidded box has a label saying Spicebox and a picture entitled 'The Tower of Refuge'. On the main circular body of the spice box there is another image of Ferry Bowness and the Tower of Refuge.
The box has an attractive scalloped edging and a well turned handle.
Inside the box are there are a complete set of the original eight lspice pots. It ihas a good colour and patina and is in very nice condition with no splits etc.
These would have been made as souvenir goods for the wealthy.
.The box measures only 17cm w x 9cm h not including the handle.
