An unusual mahogany panel inlaid with a sunflower, the dark shading of the flower, leaves and vase carried out by pyrographics, either using a tool of sprinkling hot sand on to darken the wood. It gives the inlay more depth and interest. It measures 24.5cm in length and 4.5cm in width. Great item c1790.
