A 19th century boxwood turned case for a glass measurer.  It retains the glass measurer, which iis for measuring a teaspoon and dessert spoon.
These boxwood  cases were beautifully turned their purpose was to protect the glass bottles, beakers and measurers inside, particularly when travelling.
