This is a well designed  antique walnut campaign candlestick, extremely rare to find  this made in a wood.
The candle can be used in several different ways.
The first image shows it being used as an upright candlestick. In the second  & third images it shows the candle socket can be unscrewed and screwed into the side of the stem and then it can rotate around and be hung on the wall by its hanging ring, acting as a side light.
The stick can unscrew in the middle and from the base so can be neatly packed away for travelling.
