A rare snuff shoe with carved date to lid  1799 along with carved heart and the letters AC.  Very few items of treen are dated, particularly with the date carved into the lid. Lid slides off. It measures approx 10cm in length. Possibly made by a prisoner of war as it has similar features to prisoner of war works.
