A rare pair of Georgian mahogany tea caddies. These lovely oval shaped mahogany tea caddies have a star inlay on the lid, four  vertical ebony stripes  on the sides and a herringbone inlaid vertical stripe of inlay on either side. There is holly wood  stringing to the edges of the top and bottom of each caddy. The diamond shaped escutcheon is made from bone.

Inside the tea caddies are lead lined and have a mahogany lined lid.

It's unusual to find a pair, these two boxes have stayed together for over 200 years.
