A rare  small Sussex eating bowl, sawn from a log. Thsee bowls are described in both Pinto and Levis books on treen. Levis dates this design from mid 18th century. This small pair measuring only 10cm in diameter were purchased from the Pinto collection before the majority went to Birmingham Museum, but not retaining its Pinto label. 18th century.
