A rare early 1800s early Tunbridge Ware sewingcase.

The circular box is painted with roses and leaves and has a printed label which says 'Trifles show respect'. A further band of roses and leaves rising to a painted rose bud thimble case.

The top unscrews to reveal the original Tunbridge Ware thimble inside. The base unscrews to reveal a pin poppet.

It measures 8.5cm h.
