A Rare “Combination” Travelling Set for Chess and Draughts, Thomas De La Rue & Co, 110 Bunhill Row, London, 1878/9
The mahogany board has recessed spaces for the chessmen and four sliding drawers for the reserved or captured men. It is a complete set of 32 turned wooden “disc” chessmen in blue and brown. The board is  stamped with a Victorian Registration Lozenge ( slightly rubbed).
It measures 27.5cm w
