A pair of small 19th century wooden shoes of small size. Decorated with holes for the buttons and for the pattern to the side and front of the shoe. There are crosses on the sides of the shoes to ward evil spirits away. The shoes would have been hung by a door or near a chimney.
These shoes were made and given as a love token or for a wedding present. Lovely that they have stayed together.
Each one measures 9cm l x 1.5cm w x 4cm h.
