This early 1800s circular inlaid box probably for snuff is beautifully decorated with typical Georgian decorations, including the central circle. Note the darker shading to give a 3D effect, this is produced by placing hot sand on the wood to darken it slightly.
The box measures 8cm w x 2.5cm h.
