This is a lovely mahogany table snuff shoe, dating from the early to mid 1800s.
Because of its large size this snuff box would have been intended to sit on a desk, parlour table pr sideboard for communal use.
Beautifully decorated throughout with brass button work, flower decoration to the toe and  even brass pique work decoration on the sole of the shoe along with pewter inlay to the toe and heel. A really good quality snuff shoe.
