This is a lovely mahogany book press dating from around the mid 1800s. Beautifully made with fine dovetailing, serpentine shaped top, fabulously turned thread and screw. This press also comes with its two oak pressing pannels, which are rarel;y seen because they are usually lost. A really good quality book press in very good condition.
It measures 35cm w x 25cm d x 38cm h at the sides. C1840/50
