A fine early 19th century mahogany wine coaster of lovely mellow colour, nice shape. Biaze lined base to allow the coaster to slide down the table without scratching the surface, also for collecting drips from the bottles and decanters so protecting the table surface. Small chip to top rim reglued with original piece and hardly noticeable. These large coasters are difficult to fine. C1820
